Abstract

The article delves into the application of induction-surfacing processes to enhance the hardness and wear resistance of steel parts used in various industries. It discusses the use of modified hard alloys containing tungsten carbide and boron carbide, and how these materials can improve the durability of parts under extreme conditions. The study evaluates different surfacing methods, including preliminary electrospark alloying, and their effects on the microstructure and macrostructure of the coatings. The research highlights the importance of optimizing the composition of the surfacing charge to achieve superior mechanical properties and wear resistance. The findings offer valuable insights into the development of advanced hardening technologies for steel parts, contributing to the improvement of their lifespan and performance.
