Abstract

The article presents an advanced DC–DC converter topology for electric vehicle battery charging, combining a solar-incorporated quasi-Y-source converter with a phase-shifted converter. This design aims to achieve higher voltage gains, continuous input current, and improved efficiency. The proposed converter is designed to handle a wide range of input voltages without increasing electrical stress on components. The article also explores the integration of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic systems, into the charging infrastructure. The authors emphasize the advantages of the proposed design, including enhanced dynamic performance, reduced conduction losses, and the ability to achieve zero-voltage switching.
