Abstract

The study focuses on the influence of N,N'-dicyclohexylterephthalamide (DCHT) crystal habit on the crystallization behavior of isotactic polypropylene (iPP). The authors regulated the crystal morphology of DCHT using antisolvent precipitation methods and examined its effect on the crystallization properties of iPP. The research reveals that hydrogen bond interactions play a crucial role in the growth of DCHT crystals. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that the size and morphology of DCHT crystals significantly impact the crystallization rate and crystal form of iPP. The findings offer valuable insights into optimizing the crystallization behavior of iPP, with potential applications in enhancing its optical transparency, mechanical properties, and heat resistance.
