Abstract

The article delves into the investigation of mechanical properties of human hair fiber-reinforced polymer composites, focusing on their potential as sustainable materials. Human hair, abundantly available and often discarded, is explored as a viable alternative to traditional synthetic fibers. The study analyzes the tensile, compressive, flexural, and impact behaviors of vinyl ester composites reinforced with human hair fibers, revealing promising results. The research highlights the synergistic effects between the polymer matrix and human hair fibers, leading to enhanced composite properties. Additionally, the article emphasizes the environmental benefits of utilizing human hair waste, contributing to waste reduction and circular economy principles.
