Abstract

The article delves into the synthesis and application of microcapsules embedded with carbon nanotubes in self-healing composites. It explores the methods of fabricating these microcapsules and their integration into epoxy resins, resulting in enhanced thermal stability and mechanical properties. The study highlights the improvement in self-healing efficiency from 72% to 90% with the addition of chopped carbon fibers and multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The research also provides insights into the rheological properties, thermal analysis, and fractography of the composites, making it a comprehensive resource for those interested in advanced polymer composites.
