Abstract

The article explores the fabrication and characterization of Fe2O3/ZnO heterostructures using RF magnetron sputtering and spray pyrolysis techniques. XRD and Raman spectroscopy confirm the successful growth of Fe2O3 nanosheets on ZnO thin films, revealing a polycrystalline structure. FE-SEM, FIB-SEM, and AFM analyses show a uniform and smooth surface morphology. Optical properties, including band gap energy, are investigated, and electrical properties are determined using Hall measurements. The study concludes that the Fe2O3/ZnO heterostructure exhibits p-type electrical properties, making it a promising candidate for spintronics and photo-electrochemical applications.
