Abstract

The article delves into the cryptographic properties of the Welch APN function, examining its differential and Walsh spectra. It also explores the construction of linear codes from this function, highlighting two families of cyclic codes and two families of linear codes. Notably, efficient decoding algorithms are presented for the cyclic codes, demonstrating significant improvements over existing methods. The study concludes with a partial resolution of a conjecture by Ding, making it a valuable contribution to the field of coding theory and cryptography.
