Abstract

The chapter introduces an innovative IoT-based parking management system that uses machine learning to predict the availability of parking spots in real-time. By leveraging smartphones and user-provided data, the system optimizes traffic flow and reduces parking time in high-density areas such as university campuses. The proposed system eliminates the need for additional infrastructure like sensors, relying instead on a mobile application that interacts with a backend server.
