Abstract

The article introduces a novel framework for optimizing routing selection and user association in multi-hop mmWave Integrated Access and Backhaul Networks (IABN) using a multi-agent double deep Q-network (MDDQJO) approach. It addresses the challenges of high-frequency signal attenuation and interference in urban environments by leveraging advanced directional antenna technology and proposing a load-based spectrum allocation strategy. The MDDQJO scheme enables real-time, distributed decision-making and training, improving network throughput, spectrum efficiency, and user service quality. Through extensive simulations, the authors demonstrate the superiority of their approach over traditional methods and other comparative schemes, highlighting its adaptability, robustness, and potential for real-world applications in 5G and future networks.
