Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wird das Ausmaß des zwischen den Matrixmanagern und dem Two-boss-Manager typischerweise bestehenden Konflikts aufgezeigt und erläutert. Erstaunlicherweise scheinen nach unseren Forschungen Konflikte in matrixstrukturierten Unternehmen ein weitaus geringeres Ausmaß aufzuweisen als gemeinhin vermutet. Auch wird dargelegt, bei welchen Themen Konflikte relativ wahrscheinlich sind. Außerdem werden Mechanismen (z. B. eingehende Diskussion sowie Eskalation) zur Lösung bzw. Handhabung von Konflikten behandelt. Schließlich wird die Einsatzhäufigkeit dieser Mechanismen in der Praxis beschrieben.
