Abstract

Unter der Überschrift „New Dimensions in Urban Mobility“ befassten sich Forscher in drei Sessions mit der Entwicklung und Bewertung neuer Mobilitätssysteme und den Auswirkungen auf den urbanen Raum. Unter Mobilitätsforschern besteht weitgehend Einigkeit, dass der mobile Mensch in Zukunft mehr und mehr auf intelligentere, besser integrierte und flexiblere Angebotssysteme zurückgreifen kann. Autos, Fahrräder und andere Fahrzeuge und die immer komplexer werdenden Systemdienste werden nicht mehr gekauft, sondern nach dem aktuellen Bedarf für eine Nutzung ausgeliehen.
