Abstract

This chapter explores the DGMKT framework, which enhances knowledge tracing by integrating student profiles and the Mamba architecture. The framework consists of three main components: the Dual-Graph Student Profile Aware Module (DGSPM), the Mamba Sequence Modeling Module (MSMM), and an Integration Module. The DGSPM captures student-specific details through a Student-Exercise Association Hypergraph (SEAHG) and an Exercise-Directed Transition Graph (EDTG), providing a unique identifier for each student. The MSMM leverages the Mamba architecture to model long-term knowledge states, addressing the limitations of traditional RNN and Self-Attention-based models. The Integration Module combines predictions from the two graphs to improve overall performance. Experimental results on four benchmark datasets demonstrate that DGMKT outperforms state-of-the-art models, showcasing its effectiveness and adaptability. The chapter also includes an ablation study to validate the contributions of each component and a computational efficiency analysis to evaluate resource demands. The visualization of student knowledge states further illustrates the model's performance in tracking mastery levels over time. The source code and datasets are publicly available for further exploration.
