Abstract

This chapter introduces linear-time accumulation schemes, a groundbreaking advancement in the field of cryptographic data verification. The paper presents the first accumulation scheme that achieves linear prover time and logarithmic verifier complexity, a significant improvement over previous methods. The authors explore the applications of proof-carrying data (PCD) in various domains, including distributed computation, verifiable MapReduce, and blockchain technologies.
