Abstract

The chapter delves into the crucial factors affecting astronomical observations, particularly the 'astroclimate' required for optimal conditions. It focuses on the Shatdzhatmaz Plateau, highlighting its geographical advantages and the extensive historical data on solar corona observations. The analysis covers long-term trends and seasonal variations in atmospheric transparency, correlating these with meteorological data to understand the impact of climate change. The findings reveal significant trends over the past 65 years, including a decrease in observational days since 2017 and the most favorable observation periods from August to October. The study underscores the importance of atmospheric transparency for astronomical observations and its complex relationship with meteorological parameters.
