Abstract

The article delves into the longitudinal wave propagation in axially graded Rayleigh–Bishop nanorods, employing nonlocal elasticity theory and the Rayleigh–Bishop rod model. It introduces a higher order Haar wavelet method for solving the governing differential equation, highlighting the effects of material grading and nonlocality on wave dynamics. The study presents a comprehensive analysis of wave responses and validates the model through comparisons with homogeneous rod models. The results show that graded nonlocality significantly affects wave frequencies and velocities, providing valuable insights for advanced functional composite semiconductor alloy nanowires.
