Providing an intuitive user interface for controlling intelligent devices in home automation applications will ease the success of intelligent homes. LonText picks up this idea by realizing a TV-based human-machine-interface using teletext-like screens to intuitively navigate the user through the information he requires or inputs. In order to provide interoperability the software structure presented complies with the LonMark interoperability guidelines. Finally the target hardware is addressed.
