About this book

This book highlights studies of differentiation problems of natural geosystems because of anthropogenic impact. The systematic methodology of comprehensive ecological assessment of anthropogenic impact on natural geosystems and their differentiations on the level of technogenic conditionality for ensuring rational environmental management and environmental protection are discussed. The practical importance of this book lies in the evidence-based recommendations and actions for conservation and quality management of the environment in order to decrease the degree of anthropogenic impact and in prevention of degradation processes. The book is useful to the researchers, industrial, scientific, and other organizations in establishing the purpose of the problem and solution to environmental protection and rational environmental management.

Frontmatter
Chapter 1. Natural Factors of Formation and Development of Geosystems in East Kazakhstan
Abstract
Kazakhstani part of the Altai, the eastern sides of the Kazakh low hilled part, the basin of Zaisan lake, Tarbagatai, Priertis and other territories related to the administrative division of the East Kazakhstan region are included to territory of East Kazakhstan. Conditionally, we call this territory the East Kazakhstan.

Chapter 2. Technogenic Conditionality in Development of Geosystems in East Kazakhstan
Abstract
Geoecology or landscape ecology is a science located at the intersection of two sciences as geography and ecology, considering the ecology of geographic systems or environment of human activity within the boundaries of natural and territorial complexes of different rank.
Sairan Bayandinova, Zheken Mamutov, Gulnura Issanova
Chapter 3. Division of the Territory of East Kazakhstan According to the Level of Anthropogenic Impact
Abstract
We used methodical developments on landscape ecological zoning, on the basis of target function from staff work of department of environment geoecology and monitoring [Pavlichenko L.M., Urikbayeva Z.S., Chigarkin A.V. An expert assessment of anthropogenous impact on environment of the Kyzylorda region by means of target function//the KazNU Journal. Series on ecology. 2002. № 1 (10). 70–74 p.]. We will introduce its short summary, which reflects our research.

Chapter 4. Geoecological Bases of Nature Protection Measures and Actions
Abstract
Scientific organization principle of environmental management, which includes the uniform system of activities on ecological-economic character and social development of certain territory combining rational use of natural resources with optimum development and functioning of biogeosystems can be considered as basis for environmental management in a certain territory.
Sairan Bayandinova, Zheken Mamutov, Gulnura Issanova
Chapter 5. Conclusion
Abstract
The questions solution on stabilization and improvement of geosystems ecological condition of the East Kazakhstan, in conditions of intensive anthropogenous influence, demands the maximum accounting of concrete natural situation and the analysis of major factors and processes, which are negatively affecting its state. But in research region, the technogenic pollution is major destabilizing factor of geosystems functioning. It is important to note, what makes negative impact on condition of region geosystems, besides technogenic pollution by heavy metals and other pollutant, also anthropogenous change of the hydrological mode, water balance, hydrochemical indicators, reduction of geosystems soil fertility and their biological efficiency.
