Thomas Siebel is editor and channel manager for Mechanical Engineering+Materials at Springer Professional. He also provides editorial support for the magazine maschinenbau. Until 12/2019, he was editor in charge of the special interest magazine lightweight.design. He studied mechanical engineering at the TU Darmstadt and then worked for six years as a scientist at a Fraunhofer Institute. In a part-time course of study, he trained as a trade journalist.
