Abstract

The article discusses the challenges and limitations of existing quantum multi-hop communication protocols, which require shared multi-qubit entangled states between nodes. It introduces a measurement-device-independent (MDI) quantum wireless network communication protocol that addresses these issues by eliminating the need for a perfect GHZ state and closing detector-side-channel loopholes. The protocol is demonstrated through a simple two-hop communication scenario and generalized to n-hop communication. The security analysis shows that the protocol can withstand attacks from dishonest nodes, ensuring the secure transmission of quantum information. The article concludes by highlighting the potential of the MDI protocol for practical implementation in quantum multi-hop networks.
