Abstract

The chapter delves into the application of computer vision for measuring product dimensions in the ceramic sanitary ware sector. It begins with an introduction to photogrammetry and its historical context, highlighting the need for automation in quality control processes. The study focuses on reducing human error and labor costs by employing a computer vision system to measure shower tray dimensions. The methodology includes camera calibration using a checkboard and calculating the pixel-centimeter ratio with ArUco markers. The results demonstrate a low average error rate of 0.35%, proving the effectiveness of the proposed system. The chapter concludes by discussing the potential for further development, such as creating a complete quality control station with high accuracy and low cost.
