Abstract

The study investigates the influence of lignin particle size on the mechanical and thermal properties of PBAT composites. Using ball-milling and air stream milling techniques, lignin particles were reduced to micro and sub-micro sizes, respectively. The results demonstrate that sub-micro lignin enhances the thermal stability and mechanical strength of PBAT composites compared to micro lignin. The research highlights the importance of particle size in achieving optimal performance in polymeric composites, offering valuable insights into the development of high-performance biodegradable materials.
