Abstract

The chapter delves into the mechanical properties of basalt fibre reinforced concrete, highlighting the effects of varying fibre dosages. It examines the impact of basalt fibre on compressive strength, flexural strength, and split tensile strength, revealing that while compressive strength slightly decreases, flexural and split tensile strengths significantly improve up to a dosage of 0.2%. The study concludes that 0.2% basalt fibre is optimal for enhancing the overall mechanical properties of concrete, providing valuable insights for sustainable and efficient concrete reinforcement.
