Zusammenfassung

Die Diagnostik der Führungseignung und die Kompetenzentwicklung im Bereich Führung sind zwei der wichtigsten Aufgaben im Personalmanagement. Wenn Personal für Führungsaufgaben ausgewählt wird oder die Führungskultur einer Organisation weiterentwickelt werden soll, kommt es zunächst darauf an, die für die Führungsrolle wichtigen Kompetenzen zu definieren. Grundsätzlich werden soziale und persönliche Kompetenzen, mit dem Aufstieg in der Hierarchie und der Übernahme von Personalverantwortung immer wichtiger, während die Bedeutung fachlich-methodischer Kompetenzen tendenziell abnimmt. Standardisierte Messinstrumente können im Rahmen von Assessment Center Verfahren unterstützend eingesetzt werden, um Führungseignung oder -potenzial zu erheben. Aber auch in der Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung können Instrumente zur Messung von Führung gewinnbringend verwendet werden, insbesondere im Rahmen individueller Führungsfeedbacks und zur Analyse der Führungskultur als Basis für eine Veränderung der Führungskultur.
