Abstract

This chapter delves into the transformative impact of the metaverse on tourism marketing and brand strategy, highlighting key technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI). It explores how these technologies enable immersive, interactive, and personalized experiences that enhance consumer engagement and brand loyalty. The chapter also examines the role of digital twins, NFTs, and AI-driven platforms in creating hyper-realistic travel simulations and fostering emotional connections with consumers. Additionally, it discusses the challenges and ethical considerations associated with metaverse adoption, including data privacy, digital literacy, and technological infrastructure.
