Abstract

This article delves into the critical need for a systematic fire risk assessment of urban power substations, emphasizing the growing threat of fire accidents in densely populated areas. It introduces a novel fuzzy Bayesian network method to evaluate fire risks, considering data uncertainty and expert opinions. The article systematically identifies risk factors, related firefighting behaviors, and ambient characteristics of urban power substations. It proposes an improved fuzzy Bayesian network method to establish a relationship diagram for urban power substation accidents, aiming to quantitatively estimate the probability of accidents and the possibility of different degrees of accident consequences. The study identifies hot and humid weather, thick dust on lines and cables, and messy cable laying as critical events leading to urban power substation accidents. Fire hydrant extinguishing systems, fire emergency lighting and evacuation devices, and fire alarm systems are found to have the most impact on the effectiveness of firefighting behavior. The results improve understanding of fire risks in urban power substations, providing important theoretical and practical significance for their safety. According to the safety needs and goals of urban power substations, targeted safety measures can be taken to effectively reduce accident risk and support decision-making for risk prevention and control.
