Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive study on the use of silver and lead nanoparticles for the degradation of methyl red dye in domestic wastewater. It begins by discussing the environmental impacts of azo dyes, highlighting their toxicity and carcinogenic nature. The focus then shifts to the synthesis of silver and lead nanoparticles using a facile chemical method, with detailed characterization using UV-visible spectroscopy and FTIR. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of these nanoparticles in dye degradation and wastewater treatment, leading to decolorization and sedimentation of pollutants. The treated water is shown to be suitable for agricultural and domestic use, offering a sustainable solution to wastewater management.
