Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive study on the use of activated carbon derived from jengkol peel for the removal of methylene blue dye. It delves into the kinetic and mass transfer processes, characterizing the activated carbon through various methods such as surface area analysis and SEM. The research also highlights the impact of temperature, pH, and contact time on the adsorption efficiency. Furthermore, the study includes a reusability study, demonstrating the potential for multiple cycles of adsorption and regeneration. The findings contribute to the development of sustainable and cost-effective dye removal technologies, making the article a valuable resource for environmental scientists and chemical engineers.
