Abstract

The article explores the application of microseismic monitoring in understanding failure mechanisms within extra-thick coal seams, focusing on the Datong Tongxing Coal Mine. It delves into the challenges posed by the special mining conditions of these seams and the advantages of microseismic monitoring in predicting rockbursts and managing mine pressure. The study reveals the movement patterns of surrounding rock and the distribution of microseismic events, providing valuable data for enhancing mining safety and efficiency. The research also highlights the importance of understanding the three-dimensional fracture law of the surrounding rock and the law of overburden movement to ensure the safe operation of coal mines.
