Abstract

The article delves into the microstructure and properties of Cu-Fe-Cr-Ag alloys prepared by directional solidification and upward continuous casting. The study reveals that directional solidification results in finer and more uniform Fe dendrites, effectively suppressing Fe phase segregation and enhancing the co-deformation ability of Cu/Fe. This method leads to improved mechanical properties and electrical conductivity compared to traditional casting techniques. The research also highlights the role of magnetic fields in optimizing the alloy structure and the unique structure similar to Ag-clad Cu formed in the directionally solidified alloy. These findings offer valuable insights into the advancement of Cu-Fe alloy casting technology.
