The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Group is joining the car sharing giant "Didi Auto Alliance", which aims to become the global market leader in car sharing.

This car sharing alliance is intended to further electric mobility and open up new business segments for the automotive industry. "China is a key market for Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, and we plan to work in close partnership with market leaders like Didi to shape the future of smart mobility in China", says Ogi Redzic, Senior Vice President of Connected Vehicles and Mobility Services for Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.

As early as February, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi had announced its intention to negotiate with Didi about the possibilities for electric car sharing in China. The "Alliance 2022" strategy plan by the Group centring on Renault provides for becoming one of the most important robot taxi services by the year 2020.
