Abstract

The chapter introduces the Model-Based Design methodology for hydraulic actuators, emphasizing the use of simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink. It covers the design process from initial model creation to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, highlighting the advantages of this approach in accelerating product development and improving system performance. The practical application of these methods is demonstrated through the design of a position controller for a hydraulic drive, showcasing the effectiveness of Model-Based Design in real-world scenarios.
