Abstract

The study investigates the deformation and stability of expansive soil slopes under rainfall conditions, highlighting the significant role of weak interlayers in slope failure. Using a model test approach, the research examines the evolution of cracks, moisture content, and displacement in the slope under controlled rainfall conditions. The findings reveal a complex interplay between seepage, swelling, and slope instability, with weak interlayers playing a crucial role in the failure mechanism.
