Abstract

The article delves into the intricate dynamics of a six-bar rocking feeding mechanism with lubricated clearance joints, highlighting the critical role of lubrication in mitigating the adverse effects of clearance. It introduces an improved transition lubrication model that considers surface roughness, and validates its effectiveness through simulations using ADAMS and MATLAB. The study examines how different driving speeds and clearance sizes influence the mechanism's dynamics, demonstrating that lubrication significantly enhances stability and performance. Additionally, it compares the model's performance with existing models and provides insights into the complex interactions within multi-clearance systems. The research concludes with practical applications and the validation of the improved model, making it a valuable resource for specialists in mechanical engineering and dynamics.
