4. Moderne Verhaltensökonomie in der Ruhestandsplanung

Zusammenfassung

Traditionell betrachtet man in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften den sogenannten homo oeconomicus, welcher Entscheidungen stets ausschließlich nach rationalen Kriterien trifft. Insbesondere trifft er diese unabhängig von situativem Kontext oder Emotionen und ohne Fehler bei der Informationsverarbeitung. In der Praxis zeigt sich jedoch, dass Entscheidungen von Menschen von zahlreichen Verhaltensmustern beeinflusst werden, welche zu systematischen Abweichungen vom „idealen“ Verhalten führen können. Gerade im Hinblick auf Fragen der (langfristigen) Geldanlage und somit insbesondere auch der Ruhestandsplanung lassen sich oft große Unterschiede beobachten, zwischen dem, was Menschen wollen, und dem, was sie eigentlich brauchen.
Die Verhaltensökonomie versucht, die tatsächlich beobachteten Verhaltensmuster von Menschen zu identifizieren, zu beschreiben und zu verstehen. Dieser Ansatz wird unter dem Oberbegriff „Behavioral Insurance“ zunehmend auch in der Versicherungsökonomie verwendet. Allerdings werden die Erkenntnisse der modernen Verhaltensökonomie in der Finanzdienstleistungspraxis bislang allenfalls ansatzweise genutzt.
