Abstract

The article delves into the modification of basalt fiber with Ni and carbon black to create a synergistic microstructure that enhances electromagnetic wave absorption. The study investigates the electromagnetic properties and absorption performance of the resulting composites, highlighting the significant improvements in impedance matching and electromagnetic loss capacity. The synergistic effects of conductive loss and magnetic loss lead to superior EMW absorption, with the BF-CB/Ni8 composite achieving a reflection loss minimum of -35.29 dB at 16.97 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.38 GHz at a thickness of 2.5 mm. The composites show promise for applications in complex environments due to their excellent absorption ability and environmental stability.
