Abstract

The article delves into the modification of the green CSS:Ce3+ phosphor through strategic ion substitution to obtain an orange phosphor, essential for enhancing the color rendering index of white LEDs. It discusses the current limitations of YAG:Ce3+ phosphors and the need for improved red components in the emission spectrum. The study presents a detailed methodology for ion substitution, along with experimental results that demonstrate the successful creation of an orange phosphor. The implications of this research for the advancement of solid-state lighting and displays are also explored, highlighting the potential for improved performance and energy efficiency in white LEDs.
