Developments in automotive technology require increasingly precise and robust sensor information by means of hybrid sensor concepts and technologies. As Thomas Tille succinctly describes in Springer-Vieweg's work of reference "Automotive Sensors 3," these are used in the area of vehicle electronics, especially for object recognition, system monitoring, powertrain control, driving stability and to increase safety and comfort.
