Heavy commercial vehicles are increasingly driven by battery electric powertrains. The battery packs are frequently exposed to much higher loads and stability requirements than those in passenger cars. Webasto therefore subjects its own commercial vehicle battery modules to vibration testing on an electric multi-axis shaker table that facilitates extremely rapid accelerations. The modules are charged and discharged during vibration testing and exposed to changing climatic conditions. …
