Multi-output quantum teleportation of different quantum information with optimal quantum resources

Quantum (nonclassical) resources are essential for the implementation of the schemes for quantum communication and computation. However, such resources are costly and it’s desired that implementation of a particular task utilizes optimal amount of quantum resources. Here we propose a scheme for multi-output quantum teleportation of different quantum information using optimal amount of quantum resources (specifically, using two Bell states). The scheme proposed here allows a sender to teleport two different quantum states (one of which is a m-qubit GHZ class state and the other is a \((m+1)\)-qubit GHZ class state) to two receivers. It’s shown that the proposed protocol requires less quantum resources compared to Yu et al.’s protocol for the same task (Commun. Theor. Phys. 73 (2021) 085103) which uses a five qubit cluster state. The comparison is extended beyond the paradigm of theoretical analysis and proposed scheme is realized using IBM quantum computer for \(m=1\). Results obtained in IBM quantum computer in this specific case are also compared with the earlier results to clearly illustrate the benefit of performing a quantum communication task using optimal quantum resources. Further, the analysis performed here has revealed that the proposed protocol is robust against different types of noise in ascending order as phase damping, amplitude damping, depolarizing and bit-flip.
