Abstract   

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of traffic assignment models considering the mixed flow of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and human-driven vehicles (HVs). It highlights the stochastic nature of traffic capacity due to the heterogeneous headways of AVs and HVs, a factor often overlooked in existing studies. The proposed model introduces a stochastic link capacity that can be applied to network-based traffic assignment problems, enabling a more accurate evaluation of network performance. The model also incorporates the differences in travel time information accuracy between AVs and HVs, using user equilibrium and stochastic user equilibrium principles respectively. Numerical experiments demonstrate the model's effectiveness in reducing total travel cost and optimizing path flows. The study concludes with potential future research directions, emphasizing the need for further analysis of path choice principles and the impact of stochastic platoon orders.
