Abstract

The Internet of Things-Wireless Sensor Network (IoT-WSN) is a telecommunication network that uses a central Base Station and spatially distributed wireless sensors to monitor environmental conditions. This article introduces a novel Multiobjective Gannet Dung Beetle Optimization (GDBO) technique for routing in IoT-WSN, focusing on optimizing energy efficiency, network stability, and security. The proposed method combines the Global Optimization Algorithm (GOA) and Dung Beetle Optimization (DBO) to achieve a balanced optimization process. The GDBO considers multiple parameters such as predicted energy, trust factors, distance, and delay to enhance the overall network performance. The article also discusses the limitations of existing methods and provides a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed GDBO technique through simulation results. The evaluation metrics include delay, distance, energy, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), and throughput, demonstrating the superior performance of the GDBO method compared to traditional approaches. The article concludes by highlighting the potential applications of the GDBO technique in various fields such as smart cities, industrial IoT, and healthcare, and suggests future research directions for further enhancing the performance and scalability of the method.
