5. Nanopartikel

Zusammenfassung

Auf den ersten Blick ist eine Nanopartikel definiert als eine Kugel oder kugelähnliches Molekül, das aus wenigen 10 bis einigen 10.000 Atomen besteht, die miteinander durch zwischenatomare Kräfte verbunden sind, sonst aber mit wenig oder keiner Beziehung zu einem Festkörper. Dieses intuitive Konzept ist jedoch in vielen Fällen nicht erfüllt. Ein erstes Beispiel sind nanokristalline Si-Partikel, die in eine amorphe Matrix eingebettet sind. Andere Beispiele sind Nanopartikel, die zu Volumkeramik oder Deckschichten verdichtet sind. Beachten Sie bitte, dass sich abgeschiedene Nanopartikelschichten von einheitlichen Schichten speziell durch die Anwesenheit von Korngrenzen unterscheiden, was zu unterschiedlichem elektrischen und optischen Verhalten führt.
