Zusammenfassung

Abstract: By using novel radial non-crimp fabrics made of carbon fibers, higher-performance thin brake discs or other friction elements made of Ceramic Matrix Composites can be produced. This is made possible by industrial preforming using needling technology, rapid chemical vapor infiltration and liquid silicone infiltration. In addition to density reduction, wear and impact resistance are to be improved.
