Abstract

The article presents a groundbreaking approach to predict the vibration signatures of immersed nanoparticles by incorporating Navier’s slip condition into strain gradient elasticity theory. This method is vital for accurately characterizing nanoparticles using Raman spectroscopy, with significant implications for chemical catalysis, agriculture, food preservation, and medicine. The study compares the effects of positive and negative second gradient models, revealing distinct behaviors in vibration frequency, phase velocity, and quality factor. The inclusion of the Navier slip condition further enhances the model’s accuracy, particularly for smaller nanoparticles. This research provides valuable insights into the small-scale effects on nanoparticle vibrations, contributing to a deeper understanding of their properties and potential applications.
