Transmissions of truck mixers are exposed high stresses through the on- and off-road use. The mixer transmissions must be designed to carry heavy loads and at the same time be able to transmit high torques of up to 6000 Nm/m³. Additionally, the drum drive is required to be flexible in order to compensate vehicle torsions. The latest generation of ZF Ecomix series type CML (Concrete Mixer low-speed) for truck mixers up to 16 m³ mixing capacity and an output torque of up to 90,000 Nm meets these requirements. …
