Abstract

The chapter delves into the refinement and generalization of numerical radius inequalities, focusing on complex matrices and their properties. It introduces a generalized numerical radius and explores inequalities related to positive semidefinite block matrices and unitarily invariant norms. The main results include the establishment of new bounds for the generalized numerical radius of off-diagonal parts of positive semidefinite block matrices, leveraging various lemmas and theorems. The chapter also presents numerical radius inequalities for matrix products, sums, and anti-commutators, concluding with norm inequalities related to block matrices. Throughout, the chapter provides detailed proofs and applications, contributing significantly to the field of matrix analysis.
