Abstract

The article discusses the synthesis of hierarchical porous ZIF-8 (HPZIF-8) using a spray-drying method, which enhances mass transport and diffusion rates through mesopores. The study demonstrates the superior photocatalytic performance of HPZIF-8 in degrading methylene blue dye under UV light, achieving over 94% degradation in 4 hours. The unique dual micro- and mesoporous structure of HPZIF-8 offers high specific surface area and improved catalytic activity, making it a promising material for various industrial applications, including gas separation and carbon capture.
