Abstract

The article discusses the advancements in noncontact liquid–solid nanogenerators (NCLS-TENG) as self-powered droplet sensors, addressing the growing demand for intelligent sensing technology in various fields. Traditional liquid–solid nanogenerators rely on contact electrification and electrostatic coupling, which can be limited by issues such as surface charge dissipation and mechanical degradation. The NCLS-TENG strategy, based on electrostatic induction, avoids these problems by sensing droplets without direct contact, offering improved stability and performance. The authors demonstrate the feasibility of this technology through an intelligent infusion monitoring system, showcasing its potential in applications like smart medical care and wearable technology. The article also explores the working mechanism and influencing factors of NCLS-TENG, providing valuable insights into the future of self-powered sensors.
