Abstract

The article delves into the complex problem of tension stiffening in reinforced concrete elements under axial tension, focusing on the interaction between concrete and steel rebars. It presents a new analytical method to solve the nonlinear boundary value problem, which is essential for understanding the behavior of these elements under tensile loads. The study investigates the variation of stresses, strains, and displacements along the concrete and steel elements, as well as the sequence of cracking and crack widths. The novelty lies in the development of an analytical method that finds key parameters without requiring the solution of the full boundary value problem, making it a significant advancement in the field.
