Abstract

This chapter delves into the numerical simulation and defect optimization of CZTSSe solar thin-film cells, with a focus on implementing MoS2 as a hole transport layer (HTL). The study aims to enhance the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of these cells by optimizing the thickness ratio of CZTSSe to MoS2 and analyzing the impact of defect density on performance. Key findings include the determination of the optimal thickness ratio for maximum PCE, the significant influence of defect density on carrier transport and recombination, and the critical role of interface defects in solar cell efficiency. The chapter concludes with optimized battery performance metrics, providing valuable guidance for experimental work on high-performance CZTSSe solar cells.
